The Palestinian American Research Center (PARC) announces the 13th PARC National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship Programs at Independent Research Institutions (FPIRI) competition for research in Palestine in the humanities or research that embraces a humanistic approach and methods. Applicants must be scholars who have earned their PhD or completed their professional training. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or foreign nationals who have lived in the United States for the last three years.
Information about the fellowship competition:
-Fields of study include but are not limited to, history, philosophy, religious studies, literature, languages and linguistics, archaeology, and jurisprudence. In addition, research that embraces a humanistic approach and methods will be considered. Research must also contribute to Palestinian Studies.
-Applicants must be scholars who have earned their PhD or completed their professional training.
-Applicants must propose a minimum of four up to a maximum of ten consecutive months of research that takes place in Palestine.
-Selected fellows must work on their research full-time during their period of funding.
-Applicants may be U.S. citizens living in the United States or abroad. Applicants may also be foreign nationals who have lived in the United States for a minimum of three years immediately preceding the application deadline.
-Minority scholars and scholars from Minority Serving Institutions are especially encouraged to apply.

The Palestinian American Research Center (PARC) announces the 26th annual PARC U.S. research fellowship competition for research that will contribute to Palestinian Studies. Applicants must be doctoral students or scholars who have earned their PhD and must be U.S. citizens.
Information about the fellowship competition:
-Research must contribute to Palestinian Studies. Any field of research will be considered, including the arts, humanities, social sciences, economics, law, public health, and applied sciences. Purely scientific research is not eligible for this competition.
-Research must take place in Palestine, Israel, Jordan, or Lebanon.
-Field research must be for a minimum of two months up to a maximum of one year.
-Individual and joint research projects are eligible for this competition.
-Applicants must be scholars who have earned their PhD, established researchers, or full-time doctoral students enrolled in a recognized degree program.
-By the time research commences, doctoral students must have fulfilled all preliminary requirements for their degree except the dissertation. (They must be ABD.) The fellowship will not cover tuition.
-Researchers without a doctorate but with a record of academic publication are eligible to apply.
-Applicants must be U.S. citizens living in the United States or abroad. U.S. permanent residents are not eligible for this competition.*
