Basima Qattan Bezirgan, former Middle East Cataloger and Arabic Specialist at the University of Chicago, died January 4, 2019. Before retiting in 2005, she worked for 25 years at the University of Chicago and prior to that was a Cataloger and Bibliographer at the General Libraries at the University of Texas at Austin.
