In recognition of her exceptional service to MESA and to the field of Middle East studies; With deep appreciation for her continuing contributions as MESA FilmFest coordinator since 1984; Her creative efforts through the year to craft varied, exciting, and inclusive film programs which have enriched MESA’s annual meetings; and her generosity in serving as a uniquely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and tireless consultant on films related to Middle East studies. It is an honor to recognize Ellen-Fairbanks Bodman, a treasured colleague who has enhanced understanding and appreciation of the Middle East.
